The zoom app gained so much recognition and traffic during the quarantine, currently reaching more than 300 million daily call participants. The platform thought to sign up corporate clients but found its software being used for a variety of purpose. A lot of businesses have adopted the platform for virtual conference meeting, lots of worldwide virtual learning classes have also been hosted on the platform.
OnZoom is said to be kicking off in beta with live events for fitness, music and art online events in the U.S. and will become worldwide in 2021.
Zoom said it has “added event discovery and monetization features” for online versions of “traditionally in-person event”.
Users can list, schedule and sell tickets for events with up to 1,000 attendees. The number of people who can attend is based on the host’s zoom subscription level. Organizers can also hold events for free or ask attendees to donate to specific nonprofits if they wish.
This announcement was made in a Zoom blog during a two-day user conference being held online on 14-15 October on Zoomtopia.
